Mia has reached heights of success in her canoe polo teams. She is a member of the Wairarapa Open team and the Central Districts Women’s team. Mia represented the Wairarapa in the National C Grade Open league finishing 10th.
Mia was selected as the captain of the Under 18 Paddle Ferns A team that finished 5th in the Oceania Championships Women’s grade. In addition to this championship, the team also competed in the Australian Interstate Championships
