Josh Taylor (Wairarapa College) – Athletics & Cross Country Winner Wairarapa Maori Sports Awards Tai Ohi Tàne 2019 Josh has had a year of outstanding performances in Athletics and Cross Country. At the North Island Secondary Schools Champs, he placed 2nd in the 100m and 200m Sprints, 1st in the 400m and 2nd in the long jump in the Senior Para category.
Josh competed in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Athletics Champs, placing 2nd in the 100m and 200m, 1st in the 400m and 3rd in the Long Jump. At the New Zealand Track and Field Champs he placed 3rd in the 400m and 2nd in the Long Jump of the Open Para division.
At the Wellington Regional Cross Country Champs, he was 1st in his grade. Josh also attended the NZ Secondary Schools Cross Country Champs finishing 4th in his race.
Josh was named Athletics Wairarapa Para Athlete of the Year, Wellington Athletics Para Male Athlete of the Year and was the Wairarapa Times Age Disabled Sports Personality of the Year
